Kubota M4-071 July 14th 2020

 I noticed there are no blogs about Kubotas M4-071 and I am starting one myself.

I bought mine on July 14th 2020.
I couldn't find a Deluxe model. I wanted the epto, dual rear remotes, push button 4 wheel drive. 
I settled for a standard model with buddy seat, Ultra Grand Cab 2 ( pressurized to prevent dust entering cab. Referred to as class 2 or category 2)
Single rear remote, 12 spd, with LA 1154 Loader, 24 inch LSW steel belted radials on the front and 34 inch LSW radials on the rear with cast centers.
My wife and I went to lunch while the company prepped the tractor. 2 hours.
They stated it would take longer if they loaded my rear tires, so I skipped that convenience. 
Upon our return, the service tech says "I like the air ride seat" I said "There's no air ride seat" He said "Oh yes there is"
I got in tractor and low and behold, there is an air ride seat! I look around and the dealer also installed a Bluetooth head unit.
I also insisted on the 3rd function kit from Kubota and I still do not have it. (Covid 19)
I drive it up on my tilt deck trailer, chain it down and get on the road.
I got it for $50,475. I traded a Grand L5240 with LA 854 loader, 1034 hours for a credit of $22,800. I probably could've gotten more out of it selling myself, but I didn't.
I'm super happy with machine! No def, but it does burn off bad exhaust particulates every few hours. I've mostly done some loader work and mowing with a Bush-Whacker 144 flexwing cutter. I have 126 hours on clock and have actually done only one stop and burn. The rest are automatic while mowing, not much to think about.
The Bluetooth head unit is a Jensen, and it drives two 8 ohm Clarion 4 inch speakers. 
Need I say more?
I'm taking care of that now...

Kubota 3rd function valve install

 Okay folks, I ordered a tree shear and a grapple for my loader and had to force myself to install 3rd function. The instructions are in the loader install manual. They are as clear as mud. Every piece of the actual Kubota kit is the quality you expect. The valve itself is 30 plus lbs.  I guess if anyone can find this post it will be beneficial.  The main loader valve stays on tractor. The main hydraulic hose must be removed before you can install 3rd function valve from under the tractor. The hose is removed and no longer needed. If you've prepped the valve as per the instructions you add two fittings to tractor where you remove two plugs. Then I sat valve on my chest and rolled under tractor, lifted valve into place and started nuts on studs. The valve mounts behind the loader valve. 3rd function kit

Apparently the electronic servo looking unit was shown to me by dealer on his tractor only. His 3rd function was a Land Pride. I guess my brain remembered that image and thought it was in my kit.  To be clear, there is no servo looking unit in my kit. I'm guessing some type of controller is already on board. There are wiring harnesses and other assorted wires terminated in clip fasteners. Also, the new joystick loader controller with 3rd function buttons has the wires neatly tucked inside the joystick. I haven't seen that on any other 3rd function system. I will add that the entire kit looks complicated to install.
